Why Tasks Disappear
Reason 1: Inactivity Timeout
You were inactive for 2+ minutes and didn't click "Continue Working".
What happened:
- Warning appeared (you may have missed it)
- 30 seconds passed with no response
- Task returned to queue
Prevention:
- Stay active (move mouse, type notes)
- Watch for the warning popup
- Click "Continue Working" when it appears
Reason 2: Someone Else Claimed First
You clicked the email link, but another agent claimed it before you.
What happened:
- Multiple agents got the notification
- Someone clicked faster
- Task is now theirs
What to do:
- Nothing - this is normal
- Wait for next task notification
- Click faster next time!
Reason 3: Task Was Completed
The task was already finished by another agent or automatically closed.
What happened:
- Task resolved while you were trying to access
- Or task was escalated
- Or task was closed
What to do:
- Move on to next task
- No action needed
Reason 4: You Clicked "Close"
You may have accidentally closed the task yourself.
What to do:
- Task went back to queue
- Another agent can claim it
- Claim a new task
"Task Not Found" Error
If you see this error:
Possible causes:
- Task was deleted
- Invalid URL
- Old link from email
What to do:
- Check if you have a newer email with the task
- Request new task from Five9
- Move on - don't spend time troubleshooting
"You Have an Active Task" Loop
Getting redirected to the same task over and over?
What to do:
- Complete or close that active task
- Clear browser cookies
- Log out and back in
- If stuck → Contact support to manually unassign
