Daily Work - Getting Better
Assigning a Teammate
When a colleague is the right person for a task, you assign it to them in one window. They get an email, and the task opens with the whole conversation: the messages and calls in the middle of the screen.
Quick Answer - 30 Seconds
To give a task to a teammate: Assign teammate → search their name → pick them → Assign to [name].
You go back to your task list. The task is theirs, and they get an email with a link to it.
Who can assign
Assign teammate is for the account's own people: the Company Owner, Account Admins and Account Members. You need to hold the task, so open it first.
There's no Human Force link in the app's top bar. You get in from a task email, from Open the task in Interactions, or at app.onepath.ai/human_force.
OnePath agents don't see this button. They pass a task on with Escalate to someone else. See Passing a Task On.
Assign the task
- Open the task and look at the bottom of the right column.
- Click Assign teammate. The window Assign this task to a teammate opens.
- Type in Search by name to narrow the list.
- Click the person. Their row shows selected.
- Click Assign to [first name].
You see Task assigned to [name] and land back on your task list.
Changed your mind before step 5? Click Keep it. Nothing moves.
Reading the list
Each row shows the person's name and role: Company Owner, Account Admin or Account Member.
Someone working a task right now also shows on a task since and a time. Pick someone free if the customer is waiting.
Only people who accepted their invitation to the account are listed. You won't see yourself or OnePath staff. Nobody by that name. means your search matched nobody.
Finish the call first
You can't assign a task during a live call. Click Hang up, then Assign teammate. If you try with the call still on, you see Finish the call first.
What your teammate gets
- An email: Task #[number] assigned to you, with the customer's name, the task summary and an Open this task button.
- The task, in their name. Its status stays In Progress.
They take it over when they open it. Until then, nobody else is working it. If they never open it, anyone on the team can take it over from the task list.
Common situations

| Someone to decide: an angry customer, a price, a refund, a manager | Assign teammate to the person who decides |
| The customer wants a manager who isn't on the account | Assign teammate to the account owner (Company Owner in the list) |
| Anyone on the team to pick it up | Hand back, where it shows. See Passing a Task On |
| The task to come back later | Remind me…. It goes back to the list either way; Me only puts your name on the reminder email. See Finishing a Task |
